Last week, there were seven gun-related incidents in 24 hours in Blytheville, Arkansas. And while there's nothing remotely funny about the town's outbreak of violence, one local news report has gone viral thanks to a resident's claim that he was so startled by the gunshots, he dropped his Hot Pocket on the ground.
“I dropped my Hot Pocket,” Merrendes Jackson told Region 8 News, pausing for dramatic effect. “Like, I heard them, it was like they were firing back and forth at each other. I was like, ‘What is that?’ It sounded like a firecracker at first.”
Fortunately, no one was killed in the barrage of bullets that shocked area residents. One young man—Jamion Sims, 21—was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Region 8 News.
