Though much has been said about the so-called “fast-food wars”—in which restaurant chains attempt to cook up the craziest menu items, and subtly throw shade at one another in advertisements—Burger Kings in New York City do not mess around.
Earlier this week, a BK in Queens fired some serious shots at the Golden Arches when it debuted its new Halloween costume: a white sheet over the restaurant’s facade with the word “McDonald’s” spray painted across it. In addition to the getup, the restaurant’s sign also read, “Just kidding, we still flame grill our burgers.”
The ghost costume is fitting, given the fact that Burger King just murdered McDonald’s entire life with this burn. On Twitter, customers posted photos of the scene, praising BK for its Halloween savagery.
Remember, McDonald’s: you come at the King, you best not miss.
