KFC might think it is out of the doghouse for serving what some believed were mutant chickens, but the fried-chicken chain is still under fire for allegedly serving one customer a part of the chicken that he didn’t bargain for.
Metro reports customer Marc Nicholls was sick to his stomach after he realized the piece of chicken he was eating wasn’t exactly what he ordered. Attached to his meal was what looked like an organ. He tells Daily Mail Australia,
A disgusted Nicholls brought his meal to the staff at KFC, who told him to contact customer service. KFC explains the organ could be either a lung or a kidney that was not properly disposed of, which prompted Nicholls to nix KFC from his diet for good.
This is far from the first time something like this has happened to KFC. After all, this is the restaurant that was pinned for allegedly serving raw giblets to a woman in the UK last week.
Back in June, a California security guard allegedly found a deep-fried rat in his KFC meal. Although in this particular incident, the rat ended up being just a plain, old, regular piece of chicken. Regardless, we should not have to fear what lies inside our KFC meal. A KFC spokesperson explains, “most of the time offal is removed in the preparation process, but occasionally it may remain.”
Stay woke.
