Burger King and Wendy's Can't Stop Throwing Shade At Each Other on Twitter

Two fast-food chains have some dumb beef—and we’re not just talking about the quality of their hamburger meat. According to Uproxx, Wendy’s and Burger King got into a fight on Twitter over the weekend, as brands do, and plenty of shade was thrown.

It all started when Burger King subtweeted a Wendy’s tweet advertising it’s “4 for $4” deal which gives customers a burger, fries, chicken nuggets, and a drink for $4. Burger King tweeted out their own deal, which includes the aforementioned items plus a cookie with the dig, “5 for $4, because 5 is better than 4.”

When Wendy’s was asked by a Twitter user how they planned to respond, someone manning the Wendy’s account burned Burger King with just two words, “edible food,” leaving Burger King a little charbroiled.

Brands are like everyone else, and have stooped to throwing jabs at one another on Twitter before. A number of breakfast-heavy chains like Denny’s and IHOP spent the day taking shots at McDonald’s when the chain announced that it would start serving all-day breakfast.
