Ample Hills Releases Star Wars Ice Cream in Collaboration With Lucasfilm and Disney

By

Brooklyn’s Ample Hills Creamery—one of our favorite ice cream shops in America—has found a pretty sweet way to celebrate the December 18th release of Star Wars: The Force AwakensThe ice cream company created two limited-edition Star Wars ice cream flavors in collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm.

The first of two flavors is “The Dark Side,” a marshmallow ice cream with crispie clusters and handmade cocoa crispies. The second flavor, deemed “The Light Side,” is a an ultra-dark chocolate ice cream with espresso fudge brownies, cocoa crispies, and white chocolate pearls “to represent the light still hiding in the dark, waiting to burst through.”

The Star Wars pints are sold online in four-packs (two of each flavor) for $36, and can be shipped anywhere in the US. The confection comes packaged in reusable, collectible plastic containers featuring characters from the movie and original artwork from Ample Hills Creamery’s Art Director. In a release, Ample Hills co-owner Brian Smith had this to say about the collabo:

“As a sci-fi writer in my past professional life, and a longtime Star Wars fan, this is a dream collaboration. And to be able to work with Lucasfilm and Disney Consumer Products to create new ice cream flavors that represent the two sides of The Force…that might just be the coolest thing we’ve ever done.

The Force is strong with this Brooklyn ice cream shop.
