Writer/director George Motz, known for his G.O.A.T. documentary Hamburger America, is well versed in more than just great burgers.

Here’s Motz’s 12 minute short film on Lowcountry shrimpers, which premiered at the 2013 Charleston Food Film Festival.

“There is nothing like wild-caught South Carolina shrimp,” writes Motz. Chef Pete Kornack of T.W. Graham in McClellanville echoes Motz’s sentiment,

“It is the best shrimp I’ve ever had, and I’ve cooked from New England to Florida to the West Coast to South Carolina. I didn’t really know shrimp until I go here.”

One of the folks Motz talks to has been shrimping for 57 years.
