Wales-based street vendor Dirty Bird Fried Chicken serves food that’s finger-lickin’ good, but the truck is also represented by a controversial logo.
The Daily Mirror reports that the food truck “defended its controversial new logo after customers complained about its phallic design.”
The truck owner says that it’s just a “clever way of making the ‘d’ and ‘b’ of the company name look like a rooster.” Nice cover up!
Customers are shaken up over the graphic graphic. Customer Abigail Griffiths, 29, said, “I was queueing up with my two young sons when I looked at the logo and realized what it represents. It is not the sort of thing that should be on display around children.”
Company owner Neil Young insists that the company absolutely had no intention of making the logo seem phallic, and that the sole aim of the truck’s endeavor “is to change perceptions of fried chicken.”
In addition to the cheeky logo, Dirty Bird has put out provocative posters asking their customers to “Touch My Thigh” and “Touch My Breast.”
Mark James, designer of the logo, can say only this:
Personally, we think it’s beyond brilliant.
