Maureen Dowd Eats Weed Candy in Denver and Hallucinates for 8 Hours

By

Maureen Dowd penned a hilarious weed op-ed piece, which ran yesterday in the New York Times. The white wine-loving baby boomer went to Denver to check out “the giddy culmination of pot Prohibition” and eat edibles.

Dowd starts out the column with, “The caramel-chocolate flavored candy bar looked so innocent, like the Sky Bars I used to love as a child.” After eating the pot candy, Dowd reports,

“I felt a scary shudder go through my body and brain. I barely made it from the desk to the bed, where I lay curled up in a hallucinatory state for the next eight hours.”

Down continues, “I became convinced that I had died.” After recounting her incredibly embarrassing weed freak out, Dowd cautions that the state of Colorado is “coming to grips with the darker side” of marijuana, specifically when it comes to dealing with tourists and children.

It’s our opinion that Dowd did not go to Denver to write a thoughtful piece on pot legalization; rather, she went to create the most troll-able story of our time. Let’s see what the Twitterverse had to say about Dowd’s bad trip.

OH THE HORROR!!!
