In the most predictable news of January, a Colorado restaurant has come up with a food-and-weed pairing menu. It’s part of Hapa Sushi’s ad campaign to celebrate Colorado’s legalization of recreational marijuana.
The least expected and worst part of this news: the menu isn’t actually being offered at the restaurant. It’s just a brilliant PR stunt. #Disappointed.
“Some thought was put into them,” Jonathan Schoenberg, executive creative director of TDA Boulder, told The Huffington Post about the pairing suggestions. Whatever, dream crusher.
Hapa Sushi isn’t new to pro-weed advertising. Back in 2009, the restaurant introduced a series of ads aimed at medical marijuana patients that featured a map showing the MJ dispensaries in Denver and Colorado, reports Creativity Online.
