The much anticipated second Season of PBS’ Mind of a Chef is fast approaching, and to stave off our cravings for the all-encompassing Bourdain narrated masterpiece of television, a teaser of the upcoming season has been released.
In the video, Chef Sean Brock of Husk Restaurant and his partner-in-dining-crime, chef Erik Anderson, tackle what is arguably the best (and hottest) fried chicken in the country. We’re talking Prince’s Hot Chicken.
In the video, Brock dubs Prince’s Hot Chicken the first hot chicken joint in all of Nashville. With that, he’s off to order his poultry extra hot—or “suicidal,” as his waitress calls it. What follows is a lot of sweating, tearing up, nose rubbing, and pickles.
Mind of a Chef Season 2 premiers September 7th on PBS. Descriptions of episodes 1-5 have been released, and it looks like there are some treats in store for viewers. From canning to red corn grits to catfish chips, it seems like the show will be serving up a hearty helping of Southern cooking.
