Kanye West's 2013 VMA Performance Announced With Flaky Croissant

By

We all know Kanye wasn’t the first to rap about croissants, but he was the first to have his 2013 VMA performance announced to the world via an Instagrammed picture of three flaky croissants on the Brooklyn Bridge. We don’t think MTV could have announced this breaking news in a more appropriate fashion. Their official message, which went along with the delightful grammed photo, stated, “BREAKING! Kanye West to perform at the 2013 #VMAs 8/25 at @barclayscenter! Don’t worry Ye, we got your damn croissants.”

Pigeons and Planes reports:

The show will begin at 9 p.m. on August 24 at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center. The last time ‘Ye performed at the VMAs was back in 2011 to perform “Otis” Watch the Thronecollaborator Jay Z. According to MTV’s website Kanye will be performing “Black Skinhead.” This will be his seventh time performing at the awards show including his first time back in 2004.
