In New York City, there is opportunity to devour just about any sandwich under the sun. But those in the know, including chefs and butchers, agree that one of the best delis in the city is 28-year-old landmark Graham Avenue Meats. Opened by MIke Virtuoso (a.k.a. “Mike the Butcher”) in 1985, the bustling shop has stayed true to its Italian roots and recipes since day one. Most customers go for the infamously huge “Godfather” and “Spicy Willy” subs. However, in addition to doorstopper hoagies, the deli also provides an array of meats, sausages, and prepared foods ranging from croquettes to lasagna.
