After defeating the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the NBA Finals Sunday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers immediately flew to Sin City to celebrate. At XS Las Vegas, LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and the rest of the Cavaliers could be seen popping thousands of dollars worth of champagne, as J.R. Smith the Gawd poured a bottle of the bubbly all over a waitresses head.
But Tuesday night, once the dust had time to settle, a few Cavs players decide to continue their celebration the old fashioned way—setting up the beer pong table and cracking a bunch of cold, cheap beer.
Cavs guard Matthew Dellavedova had Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye over to play, with the players documenting the competition on Snapchat.
The minimum salary for an NBA veteran is roughly $1.5 million, but Jefferson (who announced his retirement after Game 7) is sure to point out that he and his teammates are playing with a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon. The 6’7 forward also unveiled G’Day Mate!, a medium dark roast coffee featuring the Australian Dellavedova on its packaging.
Later, like a true beer pong champ, Dellavedova tells the 6’11 Frye to watch his elbows.
The Cavaliers’ championship parade begins in Cleveland at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, so hopefully Dellavedova, Jefferson, and Fry aren’t too hung over from the PBR.
