Earlier this month, news broke that 7-Eleven would deliver food and drink to your door in 45 minutes or less. The convenience chain’s mantra of “what customers want, when and where they want it” is something it takes quite seriously.
The company recently revealed that the delivery deal will include “Convenience Packs” with themes like “Date Night” and “Hangover.” According to New York Daily News, the Date Night Pack—which really should have been named the “Netflix and Chill Pack”—will set you back $20, and includes: a tub of Ben & Jerry’s chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, a Hershey’s chocolate bar, a can of Red Bull, an 18-piece pack of Trident gum, and a three-pack of Trojan Ultra Thin condoms. Seems legit, and a steal at $20.
Meanwhile, the Hangover pack, which costs $5 less than the Date Night pack, includes: extra-strength acetaminophen, a 25-ounce fruit punch Gatorade, a large pepperoni pizza, and a smoked turkey and pepper jack sandwich.
Hold on to your horses, chronically horny and hungover Americans. New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Boston are the first markets to reap the benefits of 7-Eleven delivery, while the rest of the country has to wait to get condoms and ice cream delivered on-demand for when they’re about to watch Narcos in bed with that special someone.
