Half the point of a nice cocktail is its visual elegance.
Therefore, it stands to reason that if a cocktail bar menu isn’t showing you what you’re getting, it isn’t telling you anything useful. You probably know what goes in your go-tos already; you want to see how this bar makes it special.
That’s why the Beaufort Bar’s gorgeous new 3D pop-up menu is amazing.
Helen Friel calls herself a “paper engineer & illustrator,” and together with illustrator Joe Wilson, she designed this stunning 3D pop-up cocktail menu for the Beaufort Bar at London’s renowned Savoy Hotel.
London photographer Toby Summerskill took gorgeous photos, and Friel posted them to her Tumblr.
This beautiful pop-up menu is only being produced in a limited run of 1,000 copies. You can purchase it through the Savoy’s gift shop. although it doesn’t appear to be listed on the website just yet.
Here are some more of Summerskill’s beautiful photos:
FastCo Design writer John Brownlee comments that his only criticism of the menu is that he likes a cocktail menu that changes every time he visits.
While it’s true that a book like this would definitely point to a menu that sticks for a long time, we say what’s to stop the bar from changing things up with special drinks once in awhile? It might not have a beautiful 3D menu page to go with it, but it will still look nice sitting in front of you.
