A Louisiana Starbucks customer named Megan Pinon posted a complaint via Facebook that a Starbucks barista drew Satanic symbols—including the numbers “666” and a satanic pentagram—on her coffee foam. The Satanic latte art fiasco went down at the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, and the subsequent Facebook post was shared by approximately 1,800 people, reports The Daily Advertiser.
Now, we’ve seen a lot of amazing latte art in our day, but these two Lucifer lattes take the cake in terms of sheer ballsiness.
In her Facebook post, Pinon wrote,
Starbucks social media team spokesman Tom Kuhn told The Daily Advertiser that the company reached out to her through social media and apologized. Kuhn said, “We’re taking the complaint seriously. We’re not sure who served her or what kind of beverage it was. It looks kind of caramel-ish in the photos.”
When The Advertiser asked Khun if the incident would cause Starbucks to change their policy on latte art he simply replied, “I don’t know; I guess it could.” But that would be so sad. And, really, what’s wrong with a little Satanic coffee art now and then?
